American Horror Story has amassed quite the collection of Hollywood stars in its three seasons. This season, Coven has snared Jessica Lange, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts and more. But apparently, the show has its sights set on even more Hollywood stars.

Series creator Ryan Murphy told Entertainment Weekly that he wants to bring Reese Witherspoon onto the show and has been trying to do so for quite some time.

"Well, every year I go to Reese Witherspoon," Murphy told EW. "I want her to play something really twisted and f---ed up. But she's always booked."

But Murphy's not stopping there. He also told the magazine that he wants Michael Chiklis (famous for his work on The Shield) and Michelle Pfeiffer to appear on the show.

Murphy has managed to land multiple big stars so far on American Horror Story and has also populated the show with younger emerging stars like Taissa Farmiga, Evan Peters and more. So it's not out of the realm of possibilities that he could do it again with Witherspoon, Chiklis and Pfeiffer.

More stars would also help soften the blow when Jessica Lange departs after next season. The actress has absolutely dominated the first three years of the show with powerful performances week after week. But as she told EW, the fourth season of the show will be her last:

"I want to have more time to myself, I guess. Once it's over and I have a full year ahead of me with nothing to do, who knows? It might not have been the best decision. But I think four years doing something is a sufficient amount of time."
