One Direction's Louis Tomlinson rules out engagement to girlfriend Eleanor Calder for now despite 2013 marriage rumors

Earlier this year, One Direction member Zayn Malik broke the hearts of countless fans when he proposed to his girlfriend, Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards. The couple may be young, but the months since the engagement have proven that they are serious about their future together. That said, all eyes pretty much immediately turned to Louis Tomlinson and his longtime girlfriend Eleanor Calder. When would Louis follow in his pal's footsteps and propose to his girlfriend of many years? The answer might surprise but also put some hope into some fans.

Clearly Louis has been asked this question time and time again since Zayn's engagement, so the singer finally gave a clear answer in a recent interview with Britain's Metro.

"Zayn's decisions are his own," he said. "We've all congratulated him on it but as far as I am in my relationship, I'm cool for now. I think most people are the marrying kind, I just don't know when yet. I still feel young."

So there you have it. Louis and Eleanor are happy enough just dating for the time being.

Of course we can't talk about Louis without mentioning his fans' obsession with creating love stories between him and Harry Styles. Yes the ever-present "Larry Stylinson" gay fan fiction came up again in another interview and Tomlinson was not too happy about it, as usual.

"That's a f***ing annoyance," the singer said when the subject was brought up.

When asked if he could at least appreciate the thought and creativity that goes into these stories, he responded: "I wouldn't say it was impressive. I'd say it was f***ing annoying."

Maybe he should pop the question soon so that these stories die down?
