Britney Spears drops new album 'Britney Jean' as a full album stream on iTunes

It was only earlier this year that streaming an album a week before it hit shelves was a bit of a novel idea and it has already become something that you just do, Britney Spears is the latest to stream her full album seven whole days before it drops in stores. You can stream her new album Britney Jean in full over at iTunes.

Earlier this year, Britney revealed that the new album will be much more personal than the rest of her recent output in an open letter to fans:

I have been through a lot in the past few years and it has really inspired me to dig deeper and write songs that I think everyone can relate to. Working with people like Sia, William Orbit, and of course Will.i.am has been an amazing experience. They have listened to all of my ideas and helped me bring them to life. There are a lot of really fun, upbeat dance songs, but it was important to me that I show my strength, and my attitude, and my vulnerability. Of course, I also have some surprises for you guys ;)

Unfortunately, Britney then released schlock like "Brightest Morning Star" and an album sampler that revealed a slick, overproduced and overall boring album. At least, that's the consensus to be drawn from the samples. Hopefully, for Brit fans everywhere, the album fares a little better when taken as a whole.
