Black Nativity actor Tyrese on 'The Chew,' explains what he's thankful for

Looks like Tyrese will be cooking up something new this year. Grammy nominee, singer, actor and model Tyrese Gibson stopped by the studios of ABC's The Chew, to learn how to throw together the perfect Thanksgiving meal.

While cooking brussels sprouts, the singer noted that he had never ate the vegetable.

Tyrese showed off his multi-talented skills, while cooking and having a conversation with The Chew hosts, stating that, "Thanksgiving is one of the holidays that I look forward to where I can eat and get away with it and not feel bad about it."

Tyrese whose also a model said, that he "doesn't really get caught up in dieting, and only diets when certain projects arrive." He proudly said, "I eat what ever I want all year," and the audience agreed, by clapping and cheering on.

One thing that most of his fans probably doesn't know is that, the singer owns restaurant in his back yard, named GibsiHana, he said "I just woke up one day and had a vision and put a restaurant in my backyard."

When asked who he would be spending the holidays with, Tyrese replied, I have a 6- year- old daughter." One of his Thanksgiving surprises last year was a harp player as guest arrived.

He also elaborated on the movie Black Nativity, which is out in theaters today, saying "It's a real holiday movie, it's about forgiveness, secrets that most families have, and it's a musical." He gave the audience a history fact stating that, "Black Nativity is a play based off of the famous poet, Langston Hughes." The play has been around for decades, but is now a movie.
