To add to the growing list of things that Lupe likes to do that aren't making a new album, the controversial rapper has begun publishing a new novel Teriyaki Joe: Neo Harlem Detective via Twitter. Unfortunately for Lupe/ noir books written by rappers superfans, Fiasco's Twitter account is private.

Only people he approves can read the tweets, however, NME has cobbled together the first paragraph of chapter one (Lupe is on chapter three currently) titled 'Grits.'

"Two more smacks should do it. She's weak. A couple more properly placed palms across the cheeks and she'll be all his. She'll make good money for him too. Thick-legged, creole, tall...yeah she's a real winner. I give her two months. I give him three. Two months before she wises up and figures out she'll be here forever and three months before she puts a knife in his chest for it. That's Neo-Harlem for you."

Not great, but certainly better than we were expecting.

Recently, Lupe has made headlines for calling out Eminem on Twitter, awesomely responding to the Kendrick Lamar "Control" verse in a number of different personas and putting on quite a show at a Chicago area graduation ceremony.

What do you think of Lupe's plans to write a novel?
