Last night on the voice it felt like Christmas already. The remaining six singers performed holiday tunes alongside guest appearances from a newly pregnant Kelly Clarkson, who said she can't wait until the second trimester (not feeling tip top), and Nuno Bettencourt performed "More Than Words" with contestants Will Champlin, James Wolpert and Cole Vosbury. But someone had to go home, and the instant save didn't spare Matthew Schuler.

The results show was surprising because Schuler has been one of the favorites, especially since his moving rendition of "Hallelujah," which the judges still talk about. But at this point in the game, there is almost no way to know who's going home and who stays. Schuler remained in the competition for another week after last Tuesday's show when he was instantly saved by votes on Twitter. Everyone is so talented, so it's difficult at this point to gage who will take home the trophy. It could be any of them.

Adam Levine still has three singers on his team who remain in the competition, the most out of all the judges. Ceelo's team is done. Blake Shelton still has Cole, who he's hoping will bring him his next win after already taking three seasons. And Christina Aguilera, even after losing Matthew, still has Jacqui Lee. She's the youngest one in the competition and hasn't been overshadowed in the least. That girl's got pipes.

We'll see how the competition ends up. There are no more instant saves, and the remaining vocalist are all extremely good. Obviously Levine has the upper hand at this point, but you never know.
