Many fans are still reeling from the midseason finale of The Walking Dead, which saw The Governor attack the prison with a massive tank. Multiple characters died and the survivors were scattered after the destruction of the prison. But what happens next?

The Governor is dead, baby Judith is missing (and presumed dead), Rick and Carl are running through the woods and Hershel is toast. It's a dire situation, but series creator Robert Kirkman spilled some of the beans to the "Mega Buzz" column at TV Guide:

"Thanks for the scoop on The Walking Dead. More, please! - Paula
I pumped Robert Kirkman for some scoop on the second half of the season and he offered up three interesting tidbits: 1) Carol will definitely return before the end of the season; 2) The Sanctuary, which was discussed in that radio message, will come into play; and 3) Via flashbacks, there will be glimpses into the lives of our favorite characters, likely including Michonne to get an answer about this."

The "this" in question refers to the possibility that Michonne had a child or multiple children at some point, possibly before the zombie outbreak.

Kirkman recently revealed that baby Judith's status is currently up in the air despite the bloody car seat. She might be dead, injured or perfectly fine. The creator also revealed that the group of main characters might not reunite as quickly as they did at the end of Season 2 and they might not reunite at all.

Fans will find out all this and more when The Walking Dead returns on Feb. 9.
