R. Kelly to release new chapters of 'Trapped in the Closet' in 2014 on IFC

R. Kelly's new album Black Panties hasn't even officially been released yet, but the R&B superstar is already planning on releasing new music. Yes, new installations of Kelly's musical drama Trapped in the Closet are due to be released in 2014.

According to a statement on IFC, the hip hopera will return to the movie channel next year, beginning with chapter 34. IFC insists that the drama will remain at an all-time high, promising "more R. Kelly, more drama, more crazy situations, more tumultuous relationships, more Sylvester, more Pimp Lucius, more Reverend Mosely, more everything that you love about Trapped in the Closet."

Chapters 34 and on have yet to receive a more specific premiere date beyond "next year."

For those who don't remember the epic saga that is Trapped in the Closet, the whole program began back in 2005, when Kelly released the first 12 chapters as an album via Jive Records. Kelly then released parts 13 through 22 in 2007 and "The Next Installment" in November 2012.

Those who want to relive the madness of Trapped in the Closet will be able to do so on Saturday, Dec. 7 on IFC, beginning at 5:15 p.m. If you don't subscribe to the premium cable channel, they're all available to watch online here.
