Jack Johnson is, apparently, still very much alive and making Christmas music with the world's most overqualified house band, The Roots. The man behind songs like "Banana Pancakes" joined the band who made "The Seed" famous for a bluesy, laid-back (though the keyboard work could pass for something from Studio One) cover of "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer."

The Fallon version adds additional verses and awesome matching sweaters to the Christmas classic. All proceeds from the single's sales on iTunes go toward the Red Cross' relief effort in the Philipines

Jack Johnson's latest album From Here To Now To You topped Billboard charts when it debuted in September. Meanwhile, The Roots continue to be awesome on a nightly basis and were one half of the excellent collaborative album Wise Up Ghost with Elvis Costello.
