According to TMZ, stunt experts insist that a vehicle with speeds approaching 90 mph will lose traction after hitting a series of Botts' Dots road bumps. And members of Paul Walker's family believe that this is what most-likely sealed the "Fast and Furious" star's tragic fate on the afternoon of Sunday, November 30.

Paul Walker and his longtime friend Roger Rodas died in a shocking car explosion in Santa Clarita last month. The 40-year-old actor was riding shotgun in a red 2005 Porsche Carrera GT when the deadly accident occurred. Speed may have been a major factor in the crash, but according to loved ones, Walker's car actually hydroplaned after it hit a series of reflective plastic markers embedded in the street.

Sources close to the situation tell TMZ that Walker's family remain in touch with several stunt experts who have closely studied the crash site. Here's their theory - "a speeding car that hits the plastic markers - called Botts' Dots - will hydroplane, causing the driver to lose control."

According to the experts, "a car going speeds approaching 90 MPH will lose traction after hitting a series of Botts' Dots." It's like driving over ice - the driver losses complete control. In this case, the Porsche was outfitted with special racing tires that have very little tread, so it couldn't handle the Botts' Dots impact.

And check out this official Porsche memo sent out to dealers back in 2004 in regards to the Carrera GT. It states, "This vehicle cannot drive over a Foster Beer can that is lying on its side. It will crush the can and damage the carbon fiber under panels... You need to be aware of what type of road surface you are on (dips, pot holes, seam heights, etc.)."

Authorities have yet to find an exact cause of the fatal accident, but apparently they're looking at the Botts' Dots theory as a major factor.

RIP, Paul Walker.
