The X Factor aired its Season 3 semifinals results show on Thursday night and set the top three finalists for next week. The hour also featured a performance from Enrique Iglesias and a new twist to the competition.

Host Mario Lopez revealed the names of the three acts who moved on to the finals throughout the hour rather than in one fell swoop at the end. But in a new twist, the act would then immediately sing a brand new song as a way to sort of kick off the finals early and give fans a taste of what's to come next week.

But before we get to all that, Enrique Iglesias performed his latest hit, "Heart Attack." The performance was marred somewhat by blinding strobe lights and overly loud EDM noises in the background, but Enrique did a solid job with the rest of the song as one would expect.

As for the results, the first act sent through to next week was Carlito Olivero. He sang Elvis Crespo's "Suavamente" and the performance showed just how far Carlito has come in recent weeks. Ever since he started singing in Spanish more often, he has added a new level of energy to his performances. He looks like he's just having more fun up on stage, which has really loosened him up and improved the quality of his songs.

The second act sent through was Alex & Sierra, which should surprise no one. They sang Passenger's "Let Her Go" and delivered their typically great harmonies amid loving looks at each other.

The third act to make the finals was Jeff Gutt, who sang Journey's "Open Arms." The rendition showed off Jeff's powerful vocal chops, which have become standard for him in recent weeks.

All of this meant that Restless Road, the trio of country boys, was sent packing. So what do you think, X Factor fans? Are you satisfied with the finalists? Who's going to win it all? Let us know in the comments.
