A new international trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hit the Internet on Friday and the two-minute clip offers plenty of new footage of the highly anticipated superhero sequel.

Some highlights of the video, which you can view below, include:

- Spider-Man fighting Electro in Times Square and Electro turning off the power there

- A funny scene between Peter and Aunt May as he tries to hide his Spider-Man costume from her

- Spider-Man webbing Gwen's hand to a car so she can't follow him

- More footage of Green Goblin and Rhino

In case you missed it, the website www.electroarrives.com was discovered inside the original trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 at the 2:07 mark and it contains only a single photo of Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) looking over some information on a screen. A countdown clock is on the screen, but what does it mean for the viewing public?

The clock hits zeroes on New Year's Eve and "Electro Arrives" more than likely references the recently announced news that new footage from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will debut in Times Square during the New Year's festivities. It's unclear whether or not this footage will appear online either simultaneously or afterwards, but it will undoubtedly be a cool sight to see when "Electro Arrives" in the heart of New York City in about three weeks.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set for release on May 2, 2014 and stars Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Jamie Foxx as Electro, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn (and, presumably, Green Goblin), Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn and Sally Field as Aunt May Parker.
