Megyn Kelly returned to the air Friday night after making an interesting argument about the race of Jesus and Santa. Kelly took the opportunity to address her critics and continued to stand firm by her statements.

According to Yahoo News, Kelly returned to The Kelly Report saying, "Apparently we ignited quite a controversy the other night."

Kelly skipped out on her show Thursday claiming she had a cold. Upon her return, she then went on to call her critics humorless.

"Humor is a part of what we try to bring to this show but sometimes that is lost on the humorless."

Kelly seemed to want to take some of the heat off of herself and turned her focus to the critics, playing a mash-up clip of unhappy reactions to her comments. The clip featured Jimmy Kimmel, Chris Hayes and Don Lemon.

What received even more attention than Kelly's initial statement and her persistence? Her response to her critics.

During the show she said, "This would be funny if it were not so telling about our society." She also accused the critics of having a "kneejerk reaction to race bait."

Race is still a touchy subject and Kelly clearly has been stirring up controversy. Although her comments may have come off as racist, Kelly explained that her comments weren't "motivated by any racial fear."

As far as this debate, Kelly said that it is "far from settled." Do you think Megyn Kelly should just bite the bullet on this one? Let us know your thoughts below.
