Earlier this week, Shia LaBeouf was accused of plagiarizing Daniel Clowes' graphic novel Justin M. Damiano in the short film HowardCantour.com and then plagiarized his Twitter apology from a Yahoo! Answers post. This might sound ridiculous already, but the plagiarism claims keep piling up and names like Charles Bukowski, Tiger Woods and even Kanye West have come up as victims of the LaBeouf copying trend. We don't know if the Holes actor is messing with us or not, but we do know that he could be in a lot of legal trouble now!

Though Clowes, the creator of Ghost World, has declined to address this bizarre situation, his publisher, Fantagraphics' Eric Reynolds, revealed that the writer "is exploring his legal options."

"LaBeouf changed the name of the main character, but he used the comic as a direct script and storyboard," Reynolds said. "Clowes has a real melodramatic voice that is very idiosyncratic and LaBeouf just used the dialogue word for word. There is no ambiguity. There is no way that anybody wrote this but Dan Clowes. It just defies any kind of logic or good sense. This was so blatant and inexcusable that it was as baffling as it was appalling. As far as I know the only comments he has given were those late night Twitter comments a few nights ago."

What's so strange about this story is that if you simply Google LaBeouf's Twitter posts that have served as his apology, you find that they are quotes from other people.
