Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne were all in attendance this week when they accepted their award for "Best International Group and Video" at France's NRJ Music Awards. Held at he Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France, the boys of One Direction walked on stage to accept the trophy, but were greeted by booing audience members. One Direction was booed!

The boys didn't seem to be that affected by the rude audience members, but as well all know, One Direction's fans do not take kindly to such actions. Thanks to the wonders of Twitter, we have some great examples of Directioners reacting to the booing:

''For those of you who booed 1D, if you're not happy you should have voted, you bunch of idiots! #NMA''

''Katy Perry's mic didn't work, One Direction were booed! We're not going to be seeing any more international stars here in the future... #NMA''

"I don't understand why One Direction were booed bearing in mind that THEY actually made the effort to come to France. Everyone has different tastes! #nma''

Though these reactions are great, fellow performer Katy Perry stood up for One Direction and even dedicated her Song of the Year award to the boys.

She said: ''I would like to thank my French Katycats, I love you. I would also like to dedicate this award to One Direction. Without you, I wouldn't be here. Thanks!''
