Robin Thicke has been named "Sexist Of The Year" in a poll conducted by the End Violence Against Women Coalition, proving that the 60 some-odd groups that comprise EVAWC weren't trying very hard/ were really looking for some pageviews.

Seriously, of all the horribly sexist people doing terrible things to women around the world, Alan Thicke's son and his slightly creepy/mostly catchy/possibly stolen song that took over the airwaves this summer are deserving of "Sexist Of The Year"?

"Our heartfelt congratulations to a worthy winner Robin Thicke for both his concerted sexist efforts, and in the end the platform he created for rejection of the use of women as objects to promote mediocre pop, wrote Sarah Green of the women's group. "Sexism might be de rigeur for some music industry 'creatives' but the times they are a-changin'."

Way to quote Dylan, by the way. Let's all pretend he didn't sing "Just Like A Woman" for a minute so we can pile on an easy target.

In addition to "Blurred Lines" and its controversial music video, EVAWC cited an obviously sarcastic quote from Thicke's GQ profile.

"People say, 'Hey, do you think this is degrading to women?'" Thicke said.  "I'm like, 'Of course it is. What a pleasure it is to degrade a woman. I've never gotten to do that before'."

Robin Thicke will be awarded a voucher for a download of Aretha Franklin's song "Respect."
