Katy Perry and John Mayer talk 'Bound 2,' their relationship, reveal 'A Perry Mayery Christmas' spoof

Ellen Degeneres recently surprised her audience, bringing out John Merry as she was interviewing Katy Perry on her show. The first topic: Perry and Mayer's recent "Who You Love" video. So recent in fact, that they shot it two weeks ago, in just one day. All the couples featured were real, including the two musicians of course.

Ellen's next question was if this video was a response to Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's "Bound 2" music video. Katy Perry came back quick that her video was "a little bit more authentic." Not because of a serious reason, but because "my hair was blowing in the right direction," she joked. Ellen put a freeze-frame of Kimye on the screen and her and Mayer were in awe of how she was right, Kim Kardashian's hair should have been blowing the opposite way.

"Genius," Mayer replied. "This is why I don't need to talk at home," Mayer says of Perry. When Ellen asked if Mayer is romantic, Perry responded, "Very thoughtful. Very creative..." They then talk Christmas gifts for each other. You can watch the first part of the couple on Ellen here:


Next, they reveal a "A Perry Mayery Christmas" 70s-themed spoof, where they sing "Sleigh Bells." You can decide for yourself -- funny or just plain silly?
