Every MStars reader deserves to feel like a star over the holidays, so we landed an exclusive interview with Eric Orellana of the Sally Hershberger Salon, to give you the scoop on how celebrities look so stellar and stay on trend. Orellana's clients include a diverse roster of hair colors and styles, such as Emma Roberts, Jolie Fisher, Katherine Schwarzenegger, Karina Smirnoff and Audrina Patridge. He recently finished putting some warm, golden highlights on actress and singer Sharon Leal for winter.

"We are now going to be reaching the peak of the holiday season and the fabulous fashion that comes with cooler weather, Orellana says. "We should also take into consideration what you should be looking forward to as far as hair color trends this winter."

Here he takes you through the celebrity examples you can relate your look to in keeping with winter trends.

Blondes

Stars: Cara Delevigne, Amanda Seyfried, Michelle Williams

Blondes will have a more icy tone to highlights. Forget brass -- ashy tones are hot this winter.

Ombré can be toned down and re-transformed form a very light Kim Kardashian-ish look, to a variety of honey toned blonde, this maintains your Ombré color but also adds depth and warmth to your wintery look.

Extensions can also help with this look if you do not want to commit to the maintenance of color. Combined with my color expertise and Just Extensions in LA, we have mastered the art of the perfect color and placement for this look.

Brunettes

Stars: Lea Michele, Eva Longoria

Brunettes have an open range to roam free. Warm copper and golden undertones are a must this season. Like I did in the past for the usually blonde Emma Roberts, darkening the hair and maintaining it rich looking with a few light undertones can look very natural and very sexy for winter.
