Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union engaged: Instagram photos show magic moment, couple at Heat Christmas party

Miami Heat basketball star Dwyane Wade is engaged to Being Mary Jane actress, Gabrielle Union. Wade finally popped the question on Saturday (Dec. 21), just hours before the basketball team's holiday party, and just days before Christmas.

"She said YES!!!" Wade posted on Twitter.

As actress Union said, "Sooooo this happened ...#Yessss," while showing off her 8.5-carat, cushion-cut diamond ring on her Twitter.

This will be both Wade's and Unions' second marriage. Wade, who will be 32 next month has 2 sons from a previous relationship. He has been dating Union, 41, since 2009.

Union married former Jacksonville Jaguars running back Chris Howard in 2001. The couple separated in 2005 and divorced in 2006. Wade married his high school sweetheart Siohvaughn Funches in 2002. He filed for a divorce in 2007, and the split became official in 2010, leaving him with sole custody of his sons Zaire and Zion.

The couple were all smiles at the Christmas party, shown below from a collage made on Instagram.

According to TMZ, Wade brought and styled the engagement ring from celeb jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills, and it cost nearly $1 million.
