Ellen Degeneres recently reflected on the late Paul Walker's appearances on her show, Gossip Cop reported (and this is definitely good gossip -- it's true at that). Degeneres says he was a great guy and humanitarian, starting a nonprofit organization, "Reach Out WorldWide" (ROWW). In his honor, she presents a check from J.C. Penney for $10,000 to ROWW during her Monday Christmas episode. The charity helps mobilize relief efforts after natural disasters.

The team of volunteers for the charity specialize in skills such as firefighting, EMT, paramedic, healthcare, heavy equipment operation. They then are able to provide medical attention and basic necessities to those most in need during tragedies. Paul Walker decided to start the not-for-profit after seeing the lack of resources given to those people affected by the earthquakes in Haiti in January 2010.

The philosophy for ROWW is that "making a difference in just one person's life, the world has been changed for the better." From the founder Paul Walker himself, he said: "When you put good will out there it's amazing what can be accomplished."

At the end of the special Ellen episode, she carries on the giving spirit, saying "Merry Christmas, happy holidays, be kind to each other."

You can start getting involved with ROWW by filling out this form. Watch a clip from the Ellen show here:
