Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union Engaged with help from his kids, 'Being Mary Jane' Actress opens up about Ashy Hand Proposal

NBA star Dwyane Wade and actress Gabrielle Union are engaged and the Miami Heat Champion said he got a little help from his two sons and his nephew.

The surprise engagement took place Sunday as his youngest son Zion held a sign with her name, his nephew Dahveon Morris' sign said "Will you," and his oldest son Zaire's sign read "marry us?"

According to Miami AP, the athlete was on bended knee with a 8 1/2 - carat cushion cut diamond when Union turned to him.

Union posted a picture of her engagement ring on Instagram and captioned the photo, "And yes my hands were ashy ... And yes my nails aren't done ... I was truly caught off guard but happy nonetheless  lmao #ashyknucklesbringgoodluck."

The "Being Mar Jane" actress later thanked all her fans writing, "Maaaaaannn... I'm floatin! Thank you SO much for all the love, well wishes & support."
