Ciara already working on new album

Ciara's fifth album Ciara, is an incredible, futurist jaunt through everything that is good about modern R&B. It is one of the best albums of 2013, no genre classifications. Full stop.

That being said, it sold horribly. Even the lead single "Body Party" (which sampled one of the best radio hits of the '90s), failed to boost the album's inexplicably stagnant sales.

However, poor sales on what is hands-down her best album haven't deterred Ciara in the slightest. She's already hard at work on album number six. Via an interview with Genlux magazine:

"I'm in the process of making my new album. My inspiration is life and reality. It's important to express myself musically. I am so connected to who I am now, and I want to share pieces of myself through my songs. It's like having a conversation with the world." 

Ciara added that she wanted to touch on "things that are real to all of us" in the upcoming album.
