The second trailer for the third season of Girls has been released by HBO. It appears that two of the young New York City dwelling ladies have made some major changes professionally.

At the beginning of the trailer, Zosia Mamet's character Shoshanna says, "It's really amazing that all three of you have accomplished so little in the four years since college -- I mean, think about it, four years."

Lena Dunham's character Hannah responds, "Four years is like nothing."

But even if four years is like nothing, it appears that Hannah is actually making great strides with her writing this season. Beyond some kind of eBook deal, she now has a real job at a magazine with a her name posted on the side of her cubicle, even though it's spelled wrong. Creative director of J. Crew , Jenna Lyons, makes an appearance as a fellow employee at the magazine. An editor is shown commenting on the work of Hannah's that she's read. "I get you, Hannah Horvath," she says, "and I like you."

Allison Williams' character Marnie is apprarently still pursuing her a singing career as she is shown in a music video for a song called "What I Am." Jemima Kirke, Adam Driver, Andrew Rannells, Alex Karpovsky and Jon Glaser also appear in the trailer.

This should be a very interesting season with a lot of twists and turns as the girls are making more progress toward legitimate adulthood. The award-winning HBO series returns with two back-to-back episodes on Jan. 12. Watch the second trailer for season 3 below.
