It's like he waited for Kanye's silly comments. Kendrick Lamar has released a music video for "Sing About Me, I'm Dying Of Thirst", the centerpiece from his instant classic album good kid, m.A.A.d city.

The clip juxtaposes K-Dot wandering around his hometown with shots of artist Eddie Peake crafting an installation via the song's lyrics. The song's central theme of leaving behind a legacy ("promise that you will sing about me") is underlined nicely by these shots, as well as a block of text that appears at the beginning.

"When the lights shut off, an artist's dream is that their work will stand the test of time," it reads. "The one's that influence our culture are the one's we most remember."

The intro then reveals that this video is only part one of two. "Sing About Me, I'm Dying of Thirst" functions on the album as a split song, with the comma signifying the dividing line. Presumably, the frenetic soul-searching of "I'm Dying Of Thirst" is coming soon.
