Jonah Hill is a pretty loveable comedic character, from his role as Seth in Superbad to Schmidt in 21 Jumpstreet. But he has received some major recognition for transitioning to the more serious, dramatic side of acting with his Oscar nomination for his role in Moneyball. Now, Hill plays Donnie Azoff in The Wolf of Wall Street.

Hill takes his roles very seriously and says he read The Wolf of Wall Street book and script many times to prepare. "Then Leo and I spent a lot of time with the real Jordan Belfort," he told Rolling Stone. "He was unbelievable helpful and he was actually available to us pretty much at all times. We could text him, give him a call or go to dinner with him in the city. He was just a well of information and history on the subject."

Although Hill takes all of it very seriously, especially because he has been very vocal about how working with Martin Scorsese has been a dream for him, his sense of humor does still come out in some of his preparation for the role. For the part of Azoff, he had to wear large veneers, fake teeth, that took some getting used to.

"When I put them in for the first time I had this serious lisp; it was to the point where it was hard to hear me so I figured I needed to practice," he said. "None of my friends would stay on the phone and talk to me, so what I would do is call random Best Buy locations and ask for customer service and just chat with strangers. People hung up on me pretty quick but it did work after a number of those. I got rid of the lisp."

The Wolf of Wall Street came out on Christmas Day. Hill also has True Story with James Franco and 22 Jumpstreet with Channing Tatum coming out next year.
