WWE unified its WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship at the TLC pay-per-view when Randy Orton defeated John Cena in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. But could the company already be considering ANOTHER title unification?

This report comes from WWE.com, so as always, take it with a mountain of salt. The article points out that the Intercontinental and United States Championships are the only mirror titles left in the company (the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships, the Divas and Women's Championships and the two Tag Team Championships have all been unified) and asks if the two belts should become one.

Intercontinental Champion Big E. Langston remarks in the article that he would be "open to it" and "all for it" but only "if it strengthens the legitimacy of both titles." United States Champion Dean Ambrose said that, "it'd be a good thing as long as they made one good-looking championship for me to haul around, because I'd definitely be the one holding it."

Langston responded that the Intercontinental Title should not be changed because it has too much prestige and history and suggested that "it could absorb the U.S. Title."

Whether or not WWE actually follows through on this is unclear, but it could be interesting to see the two belts brought together. Unification could add a level of prestige to the title that has not been felt in years because WWE had too many belts within the company.

Ambrose won the United States Championship on May 19 at Extreme Rules and Langston captured the Intercontinental Championship on Nov. 18.
