Noted producer and vinyl collector Madlib doesn't exactly dig interviews. However, if there's one way to get the man behind Stones Throw Records and Beat Konducta to talk to you, it's allowing him access to your vinyl collection (just ask Blue Note). Radio France recently allowed Madlib into their vinyl archives for an interview.

Madlib dans Radio Vinyle #32 sur France Inter by radiofrance

Madlib geeked out over the station's selection of Sun Ra and revealed that (contrary to the title of the documentary on his label) his vinyl actually weighs four tons. Lib listens to several jazz records before comparing the late J Dilla to John Coltrane and revealing some of his source material for the Quasimoto project.

Recently, Madlib offered the first glimpse into his latest release as Beat Konducta. Check it out here.
