On top of releasing a surprise album with 17 freaking music videos, Beyonce has been steadily revealing mini-documentaries that allow a glimpse into Beyonce's headspace while she was making the album. Her latest, the aptly titled Liberation discusses the most overtly sexual song on an album full of bedroom tracks, "Partition."

As Beyonce explains she was feeling a little less than sexy as a new mother and using the studio as a bit of an escape. When she heard the simple beat that became "Partition" for the first time, she pictured an illicit fantasy in the back seat of a limo with her husband, Jay Z. The song and premise of the video were born simultaneously as Bey let the words flow freely over the mic without so much as a pen.

Of course, this shows once again why Bey won where so many of her peers failed in 2013. The song expresses a real emotion that Beyonce was feeling at the time and, rather than let that feeling get lost in a mess of overproduced schlock, King B stepped up to the mic and let loose with an immediacy that boosts the tracks carnal themes and connects on the listening end.
