Tim Tebow may have had a sad and slow year in regards to his National Football League career, but his dreams of continuing as player have not gone quite yet. Earlier this week, ESPN announced that the former New Jersey Jet and New England Patriot would start a new career as an on-air personality for the upcoming SEC Network. With this new opportunity, Tebow explained that a new career path has opened up but his original dream is still very much alive.

"I don't have any regrets," Tebow said to the press only one day after the ESPN announcement. "Every time I stepped on the field, I gave everything everything I had. And I'm going to approach my role on ESPN the same way."

Tim doesn't expect to stop pursuing a professional football career while taking on this new position, though.

"I will continue to push myself to become better every single day," he said. "If I get the opportunity to continue to play quarterback in the NFL, I'll take it."

One main concern for ESPN is Tebow's outspoken faith in Christianity. He is somewhat of a posterboy for his religion, which doesn't play well on national television.

"As someone who's positive, I'd love to continue to be someone who is positive," Tebow said in regards to this issue. "I'd also like to be objective. I've never had a hard time saying what I believe."

"We acknowledge and understand that Tim's faith is a big part of who he is," ESPN College Networks' SVP of programming Justin Connolly said. "It's part of what makes him special. At the same time, we hired him for his football opinions and his experience. It's a piece of continuing dialogue between ESPN and Tim, but the reality is that we hired him on his ability to breakdown players and games -- and that's what the fans will expect and what the focus of the relationship will be."
