Golfer Rory McIlroy and tennis star Caroline Wozniacki get engaged on New Year's Eve

Its seems that ending 2013 and bringing into 2014 means a lot of engagements, marriages, and babies. As people all over the world cheered in 2014, tennis star Caroline Wozniacki was getting proposed to by golf player Rory Mcllroy.

Wozniacki was added to the list of celebrity couples, like Kaley Cuoco, Rachel Nichols and Christy Romano to get engaged or married this past New Years Eve, according to People. 

"Happy New Year everyone! Rory and I started 2014 with a bang!" Wozniacki Tweeted alongside a photo that showed off her new ring, her new fiancé and fireworks. "I said YES!!!!"

Wozniacki, 23 years old, is ranked 10th in the sport of tennis. Mcllroy, 24, is ranked sixth in golfing. 

Besides being a surprise to Wozniacki, the engagement may also come as a surprise to fans, because rumors were everywhere that the couple had a rough patch when Mcllroy got upset at his new fiancee for posting a picture of him sleeping.
