Vampire Weekend release "Step" remix featuring Danny Brown, Heems and Despot

In what can only be an attempt to out-surreal the idea of a Vampire Weekend song that samples Souls Of Mischief, Ezra Koenig's outfit have released a remix of the Modern Vampires Of The City cut that includes guest verses from Heems (formerly of Das Racist -sobs for three hours-), Despot and Danny Brown.

Man, even when you know it's coming, Danny Brown's voice is hella jarring over one of the most laidback jams that Vampy Weeks have ever recorded. Also, Heems is still sharp.

Modern Vampires Of The City managed to find itself on top of plenty of year-end lists that weren't dominated by Yeezus. While the album proper didn't do much for me, if a full remix album were to become a reality, I would be all over it. This track kicks. What do you think?
