'The Jacksons' are kicking off their "Unity Tour 2012" today nearly three years after the death of their loved brother Michael Jackson.

The brothers of the late pop star; Marlon, Jermaine, Tito and Jackie, will perform tonight at the Casino Rama in Ontario, Canada.

Their next gig is scheduled for Friday at the Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville, Indiana.

The 16-city tour includes stops in Atlanta, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and a performance in New York's Apollo Theatre. It will end on July 29 with a performance at the Snoqualmie Casino Amphitheater in Snoqualmie, Wash.

Their comeback is a step in the process of healing from the death of Michael Jackson, Jermaine told the Associated Press.

"There's certain songs that make you feel the sorrow," Tito told the Associated Press.

"Then again, there are other songs that bring so much joy and happiness, such as 'ABC' and 'I Want You Back' and the up-tempo stuff like 'This Place Hotel.' I just imagine how he used to walk and spin and do all these things. You can feel his presence here," he said.

The tour marks the first tour of the brothers since their Victory Tour in 1984.

The brothers reportedly wanted to have a reunion for years even before the death of Jackson in 2009.

Following his death, the reality TV show "The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty" launched and their reunion plans were at the center of the show.

"This is a dream coming true," Jackie Jackson said in a statement released in the past. "I can't believe this is finally happening. There's nothing like having all the brothers on stage at the same time. This will be exciting for our fans around the world -- and I know at each concert, MJ's spirit will be in the house with us."
