Former G-Unit affiliate Mazaradi Fox killed in Queens

In the wake of the death of Hustle Gang rapper Doe B, the hip-hop community mourns yet another death. Former G-Unit rapper Mazaradi Fox was shot and killed on Friday (Jan. 3) afternoon in Springfield Gardens, Queens, New York.

According to Vibe Magazine, the 42-year-old born Jamal Green, was was sitting inside a white SUV with his 20-year-old daughter when a masked gunman approached and shot up the vehicle.

Thisis50.com reports that four people were shot including Fox, his daughter and two other men. One of the men was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition and the other in stable condition.

Fox's daughter suffered a graze wound to the neck. Fox died on the scene. He had only been home for a few weeks after doing a bid for attempted assault.

The suspect reportedly left the scene in a black Hyundai Sonata.

Mazaradi Fox was the leader of the The Dumouts movement and was friends with 50 Cent and other members of G-Unit for years.

Fox was featured on numerous tracks with 50 and made cameos in various G-Unit videos.

Both 50 Cent and Tony Yayo took to Twitter to mourn their loss. 50 sent out this tweet:

"Saddened by the news of Mazaradi's tragic passing my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends #smsaudio."

While Tony Yayo simply had this to say: "Rip the Fox Southside."

Ironically, the heading on Mazaradi Fox's Twitter page reads, ""STOP THE VIOLENCE SAVE OUR CHILDREN BURY THE BEEF."
