If you don't remember the 2013 Wonder Woman television pilot from David E. Kelley starring Adriane Palicki, we wouldn't blame you. This show was supposed to be the triumphant return of the iconic leading female DC Comics character, but it fell so short of expectations that it was not picked up. Many people blame the failure on the casting of Palicki. One of the actresses that fans reportedly would have preferred was Battlestar Galactica beauty Katee Sackhoff, who actually was turned down for the role. Let's find out why.

In a recent interview with Total Film, Sackhoff was asked about her sheer awesomeness and whether the character of Wonder Woman was something she aimed for.

"I'd love to play Wonder Woman. I remember auditioning for the Wonder Woman television show and being told that I wasn't the Wonder Woman type, but if I wanted to play the best friend, I could audition for that," Sackhoff said. "And I remember thinking to myself, 'You obviously haven't seen my work!' [laughs]"

We probably won't ever get to see Sackhoff in the role, especially since Gal Gadot was cast in the part for the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, but it's fun to dream.

Meanwhile, the failed Wonder Woman TV series star, Palicki, recently revealed that she doesn't view the failure of that project as a bad thing.

"I wouldn't say regret," she said. "I was devastated when it didn't go and it was expected to. It was one of those things that was shocking. But in retrospect it was probably a blessing. It would've been a really hard thing to shoot. And I got to wear the costume -- I should say, I got paid to wear the costume! So not many people get to say that. [laughs] I'm really blessed to have gotten to do that and maybe someday down the line I'll get to play that character or another awesome icon again."
