Jack White is working on a new album

Jack White could be dropping a follow-up to Blunderbuss very, very soon. The Third Man Records head was participating in a chat with fans on his label's forums when he casually dropped that he's producing and finishing two albums this month, with one of them being his own.

Of course, Jack White notoriously has his hands in a little bit of everything, juggling side projects, solo work and a label."Mine" in this case could mean a release by The Dead Weather (who've been steadily releasing new singles), The Raonteurs or simply a release for TMR.

Of course, White's fanboys are hoping for another solo outing. Me? I'm not so sure. In my opinion, White is always at his best when he's reigned in by a band and forced to create songs as opposed to guitar exercises. A new Dead Weather or Racontuers release could be awesome. More of the same over-the-top guitar noise from White probably won't be.
