Fans have spoken and 2014's People's Choice Awards revealed winners in a variety of categories tonight on CBS, including those in music, movies and TV. 2 Broke Girls stars Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs hosted the star-studded live event at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.

The first award show of the season started with a skit on the set of 2 Broke Girls where the two waitresses offered up "orders" of the many nominations on the menu for the night to different stars, which transitioned into a speedy car ride to the event with Walter White behind the wheel.

Once the hosts hit the stage, stars like Brad Paisley and Heidi Klum jokingly confused the actresses as real waitresses, and dozens of girls dressed in the 2 Broke Girls signature uniform joined them on stage.

First up was Favorite Movie Actress, which went to Sandra Bullock for Gravity. The film also won for Favorite Dramatic Movie. Sean Hayes presented the award and declared his relief that his wife won the award. Bullock's quick wit led her to go with the joke.

Favorite Album went to Justin Timberlake with The 20/20 Experience. He also won for Favorite Male Artist and Favorite R&B Artist. He thanked his "beautiful wife" Jessica Biel for teaching him about patience and the little things, like actually putting the dishes into the dishwasher.

After Ellen DeGeneres took the award for Favorite Daytime TV Host for the 14th time, Sara Bareilles hit the stage to sing her hit "Brave."

Favorite Comedic Actor went to Adam Sandler, which was appropriately presented to him by longtime and pregnant friend Drew Barrymore. The Good Wife took the nod for Favorite Network TV Drama. Favorite Comedic Movie was given to The Heat, starring Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock.

Country star Brad Paisley hit the stage at the midpoint in the show and took some impromptu video with an audience member's cell phone in the front row. And host Kat Dennings shared pretend Twitter comments requesting Beth Behrs to sing a selection of songs, which seemed to please the crowd.

Favorite On-Screen Chemistry was awarded to Damon & Elena (Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev) from The Vampire Diaries, who dated in real life. Favorite Pop Artist went to Britney Spears, her first People's Choice Award. The Big Bang Theory's newlywed Kaley Cuoco took the award for Favorite Comedic TV Actress, and the same award for Actor went to Glee's Chris Colfer.

Ironman 3 hit a homerun when it took the awards for Favorite Movie, Action Movie, and its star Robert Downey Jr. got the nod for Action Movie Star. Stephen Colbert, though not there in person, was given the award for Late Night Talk Show Host.

Ladies squealed as One Republic started their high-energy performance of "Counting Stars." Frontman Ryan Tedder lost his breath a bit, but it's an aggressive vocal and he took full use of jumping around the stage.

Jennifer Hudson was honored toward the end of the show for the humanitarian work with the Julian D. King Gift Foundation, which she started with her older sister Julia in honor of their nephew he was killed.

To wrap up the show, Favorite Actress in a New TV Series went to Sarah Michelle Gellar for her role in The Crazy Ones and Favorite Network TV Comedy was given to The Big Bang Theory for its third win.

With a live show, you never know what might go wrong, what technical glitches could come up, but this year's People's Choice Awards seemed to pretty much go according to plan. Nothing against Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs, but refraining from too many comedic segments in between presentations really seemed to keep up the much-needed fast pace for the show.
