Dedicated fans have long known that Evan Peters (American Horror Story) would play the mutant Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past, but that was about all we knew. Now, a new still image offers a first look at the actor in costume alongside a few other characters.

The image, posted by Super Hero Hype, features Quicksilver in the 1970s with Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) as the four walk into what seems like a bunker or facility of some kind on a cold and snowy day. The photo, which you can see below, does not offer much in the way of plot, but it does offer a real glimpse at Quicksilver, and it also begs the important question: How is Xavier walking after he was shot in the back in X-Men: First Class?

Peters has previously said that Quicksilver's powers are amazing in the film, which used a special camera to shoot super slow-motion sequences for the character.

"It's super, super, super slo-mo. You can see raindrops frozen in the air, stuff like that. It's amazing how that camera works."

Peters has also described Quicksilver as someone who is annoyed by the slow pace of the world, as he experiences everything much more quickly than the average person or even mutant. In the photo above, it's difficult to tell if Peters is walking into the building with the other mutants or if he is speeding in as they stand there.

On a more humorous note, EW.com posted the following photo of Wolverine and Beast (Nicholas Hoult):
