A vocal contingent of fans reacted negatively to the news that Zack Snyder had cast Gal Gadot of the Fast and the Furious franchise as Wonder Woman in the Man of Steel sequel, currently known as Batman vs. Superman. Those fans felt that she was the wrong body type for the part, but perhaps the news that Gadot has started her training for the part will quell the outcry.

Batman-News posted some photos of Gadot, who was supposedly spotted in her home country of Israel after an intense workout with personal trainer Mark Twight earlier this week. Twight was the trainer who got Henry Cavill, Michael Shannon and Antje Traue into peak condition for Man of Steel.

Gadot recently gave an interview entirely in Hebrew on Good Evening with Gai Pines and revealed that she would be undertaking an extremely serious training regimen of Kung Fu, kickboxing, jujitsu, Brazilian and sword fighting. She also expressed confidence that she would "gain body mass."

Amy Adams recently spoke to MTV as part of a press tour for her latest film, American Hustle, and admitted that she was "not familiar with [Gadot's] body shape." But she still offered her opinion on the fans' feeling that the actress does not have the right physique for the part by drawing on her own experience as Lois Lane in Man of Steel.

"I don't buy into that," Adams said. "Not that I [don't] believe that it's happening, but I'm certainly not a classically drawn woman as they exist in comic books, so I had to embrace that I just had a baby. I still hadn't gotten my waist back. Lois is not about proportions, Lois is about her intellect and her savvy reporting skills and her empathy for Clark, and so I just didn't think about it."

Furthermore, Adams remarked that director Zack Snyder is famous for making sure his actors and actresses are in peak physical condition.

"She is going to be yoked, man," she said. "He is going to make her a beast."
