Today in "wait, what?": Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill are working with Q-Tip on a television series about the Native Tongues collective.

You read right. The stars of The Wolf Of Wall Street are helping to push a drama about A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul, among other groups.

According to Deadline, DiCaprio's Appian Way productioncompany will produce the show and the trio are expected to shop it to networks next week.

The Native Tongues collective was a loosely interconnected group of Afrocentric late '80s/early '90s rappers that stressed the importance of using hip-hop to spread a message of positivity. It was primarily made up of A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, The Jungle Brothers, Mos Def, Black Sheep, Common and Queen Latifah (though it has been linked to other acts like Brand Nubian, producer J Dilla, The Beatnuts and Busta Rhymes' original group Leaders Of The New School.

The show will loosely based around Q-Tip's experiences during this era.

As for DiCaprio and Hill's latest, it's garnering critical acclaim and backlash as critics can't decide whether the film is an endorsement or a satire of the rampant lawlessness of pre-recession Wall Street.
