According to numerous reports around the Internet, new Star Wars Episode VII casting rumors have sprung up once again with one television star leading the news. Breaking Bad and Friday Night Lights alumnus Jesse Plemons is the latest young actor rumored to have meetings and auditions set up with director J.J. Abrams for the 2015 blockbuster film. If Plemons acts anything like his AMC character Todd, we should assume he'd be a villain!

All joking aside, the young actor has certainly proven himself worthy of a starring or main supporting role, even in such a huge film like the new Star Wars. But who will he play? With 2015 coming up quickly, we don't know many details about the film and have to rely on casting rumors like this to help imagine what we're in store for.

The Wrap reports:

Plemons is scheduled to meet with director J.J. Abrams next week to discuss the highly anticipated sequel, which is expected to bring back original stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford. Plemons has already taped an audition that was well-received by those involved in the casting process, and he'll by flying in to Los Angeles from Austin, Texas for a second audition that will bring him face-to-face with Abrams.

As far as what role Plemons is auditioning for, we have no idea. We probably won't know until an official announcement is made, but plenty of people are speculating already. He DOES resemble Luke Skywalker in a way, don't you think? Perhaps he's the next "New Hope" for the franchise!
