Super Bowl XLVIII just got a little bit more exciting. Bruno Mars invited the Red Hot Chili Peppers to perform with him during his Super Bowl halftime performance.

The announcement of the collab came during Saturday's playoff game between the Seattle Seahawks and the New Orleans Saints on FOX.

The Red Hot chili Peppers will also be performing at WFAN-AM's pre-Super Bowl concert at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on Feb. 1.

This performance marks a milestone in Bruno's career. Here's what he had to say of his Super bowl performance during a recent interview with Vibe magazine:

"It wasn't too long ago when we were performing in clubs and bars and pubs, and even when I put (my first) album out, (we were) opening acts for a bunch of different artists, living in a van and traveling around and kind of putting in the work and time."

Drake recently dropped some big Super Bowl news, too.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Drake would headline the Revolt TV and Time Warner Cable Super Bowl pre-show. According to Billboard, the YMCMB rapper has signed on to star in a Time Warner commercial slated to air during Super Bowl XLVIII.

Drake's concert is going down Saturday Feb. 1 and will also feature a performance from Diddy.

Super Bowl XLVIII airs on FOX this Feb. 2 from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
