The seemingly never-ending stream of news and rumors about the Man of Steel sequel currently titled Batman vs. Superman has received yet another name to throw into the rumor mill.

Comic Book Movie posted an exclusive report, through a source named General Napier, that producers of Batman vs. Superman are "strongly" considering Lost star Josh Holloway (who played James "Sawyer" Ford on the ABC show) for a role in the superhero sequel. The source did not provide any information about Holloway's potential role in the movie.

The 44-year-old actor currently stars on CBS' new series Intelligence as Gabriel Vaughn, an intelligence operative who is enhanced with a supercomputer microchip in his brain. The show debuted last Tuesday and received 16.6 million viewers, which made it the most watched television series premiere so far this season.

Comic Book Movie goes on to speculate that Holloway could possibly play Arthur Curry aka Aquaman in the film. The site points out that fans have often considered Holloway as a fantastic choice for the King of Atlantis.

Reports about Batman vs. Superman have indicated that any number of DC characters, from Doomsday to Metallo to Lex Luthor could appear in the film. Other reports depict the Man of Steel sequel as a sort of proto-Justice League movie that could include Martian Manhunter, Aquaman and the Green Lantern.

What are your thoughts, Batman/Superman fans? Would you like to see Holloway in the movie? And if so, then which character should he play? Let us know in the comments below.
