Jimmy Kimmel will be taking his late night show to Austin, Texas from March 10-14 for this year's South by Southwest Festival. Jimmy Kimmel Live! will air from The Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long Center for the Performing Arts, which overlooks downtown Austin, Auditorium Shores and Lady Bird Lake.

"Austin is one of my favorite cities, and there is no place more fun than SXSW. I can't wait for March 10th. I'll be the guy covered in BBQ sauce," Kimmel told The Hollywood Reporter.

In addition to filming the show at the Center for the Performing Arts, interviewing celebrities and featuring musical performances, Kimmel will likely take advantage of the extremely populated area during the festival for some bits for the show out on the streets.

This isn't the first time Kimmel has taken his show out on the road. Back in 2006, they filmed in Detroit's GEM Theater leading up to Super Bowl XL. Then, in November 2012 the show reached record ratings when it filmed for a week in Brooklyn.

Before Kimmel heads to Austin, late night television will make a huge transition with Leno leaving the Tonight Show, handing the reigns over to Jimmy Fallon, and Seth Meyers taking over as the new host of Late Night. Maybe Fallon and Meyers will show up for the festivities as well to promote their new late night slots.

In addition to Jimmy Kimmel Live! taking post at SXSW, Bravo's Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen will also be filming at the festival for the second time.
