Season 3 of Showtime's hit Homeland ended on a somewhat surprising note when the show finally pulled the trigger (well, technically the noose) and killed off fan favorite Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis). Many fans were outraged, but the show undoubtedly hit the reset button as it eliminated the man who had been the driving force of much of the first three seasons.

This, of course, left fans to wonder where they show would go from there. Luckily, Showtime president David Nevins offered some information to a room full of reporters at the 2014 Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour. Here's what he had to say (via E! Online):

"This is a show that is fundamentally about a field operative and we really haven't seen [Carrie] (Claire Danes) - with the exception of the very beginning of Season 1 - out in the field operating. So the likely plan for next year is you will see her on the ground in a foreign capital doing her job."

Nevins also said that Saul (Mandy Patinkin) would continue to be "central to the story" and he will have as much involvement with Homeland in Season 4 as he did in Seasons 1-3, which is a relief given that he lost his position as CIA Director in the Season 3 finale.

What do you think, Homeland fans? Will you still be tuning into Season 4 sans Brody, or has the death of his character turned you off from watching the show again? Let us know in the comments below.
