Comic book movie fans learned in 2013 that Chronicle director Josh Trank would lead the Fantastic Four reboot for Fox in 2015. Now, it seems that the script is finished, if one report is true.

Variety reports that Simon Kinberg, who wrote many of the films in the X-Men franchise, has finished rewriting the script for the reboot. Furthermore, the report notes that the studio plans to begin testing actors for the roles of Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic and Sue Storm aka The Invisible Woman by the end of the month.

Rumors of potential cast members arose multiple times throughout last year. Names included Miles Teller (21 & Over) for Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Allison Williams (Girls) for Sue Storm/Invisible Woman and Michael B. Jordan (The WireFriday Night LightsFruitvale Station) as Johnny Storm/Human Torch.

Teller may have indicated that he would take on the role (or at least test for it) of Reed Richards when he told Punch Drunk Critics that, "Yeah, that should be coming up in the next few weeks," with regard to Fantastic Four casting news.

Variety reports, though, that the actor was misunderstood and that he would be testing, but he is not the frontrunner for the part, nor is he officially attached to the project. Other names expected to test include Game of Thrones star Kit Harington and Richard Madden.

As always, take everything with a grain of salt until the studio officially announces anything.
