Kerry Washington is NOT asking President Obama to be her baby's godfather

If a story sounds too good to be true, it probably is. That's a lesson for the folks who believed that Kerry Washington planned on asking President Obama and First Lady Michelle to serve as godparents for her unborn child.

Star reported that Washington was "courting" the Obamas, in an attempt to play Michelle in a film.

"She's desperate to have someone as prestigious as the Obamas as her baby's godparents and plans on casually asking Michelle at the next fundraiser they attend together," said the mag's purported insider.

Apparently, this is not true. GossipCop checked up on it and rated it a lie. It's like they will let anyone be a shady, unnamed inside source at low-cred gossip rags nowadays!

One things for sure, if Washington wants to play the First Lady, she's gonna need hops.
