Listen to Jonah Hill reveal he was paid $60K for his Oscar-Nominated role in Martin Scorsese's 'Wolf of Wall Street'

When you think of a Hollywood actor's paycheck and salary for a movie role, you probably think of numbers up in the upper hundreds of thousands or even into the millions (depending on the star), right? And when that actor is working on a huge movie with other big actors and a huge director, that number gets higher, yes? Well, that was not the case for Jonah Hill when he starred opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street last month. Though he received an Oscar nomination for his performance, his paycheck was a mere $60,000.

While appearing on the Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show this week, the Moneyball actor revealed his meager salary live on air. Though Hill explained to the infamous radio talk show host that he was happy to get the money and would've worked with Scorsese for much less!

"They gave me the lowest amount of money possible. That was their offer," Hill said. "I said I will sign the papers tonight, fax me the papers tonight. I want to sign them tonight before they change their mind."

As you can tell from how he's speaking, Hill was clearly excited about the project and wanted to be involved.

"You do 22 Jump Street or you do other things, and you can pay your rent," he said, explaining that he makes money off of his comedies and would do anything for his more serious roles. "I would sell my house and give [Scorsese] all my money to work for him. I would have done anything in the world. I would do it again in a second."
