Mary J. Blige's Dad, Thomas Blige stabbed in neck by ex-girlfriend during domestic dispute, Thomas in critical condition

Singer Mary J. Blige's father, Thomas Blige is in critical condition after his girlfriend stabbed him in his neck during a domestic dispute. Michigan police say the incident occurred Thursday morning and he was taken to Kalamazoo's Bronson Methodist Hospital.

According to the Battle Creek Enquirer, Detective Sgt. Jim Martens have retrieved the knife used in the incident and found Thomas's former girlfriend with blood on her clothing.

Mary J. Blige has yet to release a statement on her father's condition. The suspect will be arraigned today and is in custody in Calhoun County Jail.
