The 2014 Royal Rumble pay-per-view aired live from the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh on Sunday night, and the real story of the night was they way the crowd hijacked the final two matches of the evening. The fans revolted against the John Cena vs. Randy Orton match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, along with the ending of the Royal Rumble match itself. But the event also featured a title change and some great action, so let's get to the results.

The New Age Outlaws defeated The Rhodes Brothers on the pre-show to become six-time WWE Tag Team Champions. Billy Gunn made a blind tag on Road Dogg and hit Cody Rhodes with the Fameasser for the win.

The pay-per-view then began with Bray Wyatt defeating Daniel Bryan in an excellent after he planted him with Sister Abigail onto the barricade and then once more inside the ring.

Brock Lesnar then defeated The Big Show after he assaulted him with a steel chair before the match officially began. Big Show hit a KO Punch, but Lesnar made short work of him with the F-5. He then assaulted him with more steel chairs after the bell.

Randy Orton retained the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against John Cena after The Wyatt Family came out and distracted Cena once he had locked in the STF on Orton. The match featured multiple false finishes and each man hit his own finisher and his opponent's finisher at least once.

Batista eliminated Roman Reigns to win the 2014 Royal Rumble. Reigns also set a record by eliminating 12 people to break Kane's record of 11 from 2001. Below is the entry order and the order of elimination (the names in parentheses indicate who eliminated the Superstar):
