One of the CW's most anticipated new series is the Arrow spinoff show Flash. For a while now, we've known that Glee alum Grant Gustin would be portraying the title character, also known as Barry Allen, and now we're getting new casting updates involving new characters. For instance, this week news broke about two major super villains from the DC Comics universe that will be appearing on Flash in the season one episodes!

Deadline reports:

Rick Cosnett (The Vampire Diaries) plays star Detective Eddie Thawne, a recent transfer to the Central City Police Department, whose past is a mystery and who harbors a dark secret. Danielle Panabaker (Shark) plays Caitlin Snow, a highly intelligent bioengineering expert who lost her fiancé during an explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs.

For those fans familiar with the super hero character, these names probably look very familiar. According to "Geek & Sci-Fi" culture website, Gamma Squad, "Eddie Thawne is better known as Reverse-Flash in most DC continuity," and "Caitlin Snow, meanwhile, has just been introduced as the new Killer Frost."

These character castings means that we're all in store for another great DC Comics series that hopes to capitalize on the success of Arrow, hopefully following in the show's footsteps, too.
